HRCS Expansion

We’re growing and families are why.

HRCS has waitlists.  Families are driving over the pass to visit.  Parents in communities we don’t yet serve are asking whether HRCS is coming to them. After two years of that, we’re ready to say: yes, we’re working on it.

Expansion for us doesn’t mean replicating a building, it means bringing the same small-school culture, outdoor learning, and community-centered approach to more families across the mountain region. That takes time to do right. Here’s where we are.

Active Sites in Development

[Alma →] A second Park County campus right down the road from Sacramento Creek Ranch built for the families already on our waitlist, and potentially including preschool. Two sites, one team.

[Summit County →] A new HRCS community for Summit County families who’ve been asking for an option closer to home. K–8, outdoors-first, shaped by the landscape and people of Summit.

Both sites are proposed for 2026–2027. Enrollment interest drives the timeline. The more families who complete the Intent to Enroll, the faster we can make decisions about grade levels, staffing, and site design.

Alma and Summit are where our energy is right now, but they’re not the only communities we’ve heard from. If you’re in a different area and want an HRCS option, we still want to know. Filling out our general interest form doesn’t start an enrollment process, it just keeps you in the conversation.
