Community in Action – HRCS and the Food Bank

Community engagement is one of our core values, and our partnership with the local Food Bank brings that value to life.

Students help sort, organize, and support food distribution efforts — discovering firsthand how small acts of service ripple outward. They learn empathy, responsibility, and the power of showing up for others.

At HRCS, students don’t just learn about community impact; they create it.

Children sort and organize food items such as canned goods and boxes in a room, packing them into cardboard boxes, likely as part of a food drive or community service activity. Four children are packing cardboard boxes in a room with stacked boxes covered in white leaf designs. One child flashes a peace sign, and everyone looks cheerful and engaged in their task.
