Katie Stamp

Board President and Board Secretary

Katie Stamp brings a deep passion for children, outdoor education, and school choice to her role as Board Chair of High Rockies Community School. She believes kids thrive when they are given the freedom to explore, play, and learn through real-world experiences, and she is committed to fostering an environment where that kind of learning can flourish.

Originally from rural Southern Maryland, Katie moved to Colorado in 2007 and quickly built her life around the mountains she loves. She and her husband Kyle are raising their two boys immersed in an outdoor lifestyle, spending their time hiking, biking, skiing, and exploring together.

Katie actively lives out her passion for experiential learning. She has led programs like Mountain Bike Mondays for women, coached the Summit Tigers high school mountain bike team, and worked as both a raft guide and snowboard instructor. Through these experiences, she has seen how confidence, resilience, and a love for learning are built outside the classroom.

Her path into education began with homeschooling her own children, where she experienced the impact of play-based, nature-centered learning. That journey led her to HRCS, where she proudly supports a model centered on individualized learning, strong relationships, and meaningful time outdoors.

Katie is also a passionate community volunteer and a real estate broker in Park County. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, strong communication, and dedication to serving others.
