HRCS Expansion
We’re Growing!
Second Campus Opening 2026-2027!
High Rockies Community School is expanding to better serve families in Park County and the surrounding region. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, we plan to open a second HRCS campus. This new site will offer the same supportive community, outdoor-based learning experiences, and whole-child approach that define HRCS. Final details—including the location, grade levels offered, and enrollment capacity—are still being finalized. As we plan, we want to hear from families interested in joining this new campus community.
Express Your Interest
If you are considering enrolling at our new HRCS site for the 2026–2027 school year, please take a moment to complete our Second Site Interest Form.
Your responses will help us determine:
- Where the new campus should be located
- What grade levels families need most
- How many seats to offer in each program
- Transportation and enrichment needs
- Preferred schedules and instructional models
Complete Our Interest Survey
Families who complete the survey will receive:
- Early updates and announcements
- Opportunities to participate in planning input sessions
- Priority communication when enrollment opens
- Invitations to community engagement events
Completing the survey does not obligate you to enroll—it simply ensures you stay informed.
Why a Second HRCS Site?
HRCS has experienced strong community demand for our K–8 program and our Homeschool offerings. A second site allows us to:
- Serve more students without compromising small-school culture
- Reduce waitlists
- Expand outdoor learning opportunities
- Provide additional services and programs to families in the region
- Strengthen access to tuition-free public education in mountain communities
What We Know Now
- The second site will open no earlier than Fall 2026
- It will be a tuition-free public charter school, open to all Colorado students
- HRCS’s educational model, values, and culture will remain consistent
- Enrollment will follow State of Colorado charter school requirements, including a lottery if interest exceeds available seats
- Families completing the interest form will be the first to receive updates
As final decisions are made—such as building selection, grade configuration, and enrollment windows—we will share updates directly with interested families and our broader community.
